After 30 years at sea Aharon is looking forward to living a normal life at last. He is appointed Head of the Marine Department at the Ashdod Port. In an attempt to clean up corruption, Aharon stands up against some of the mob like behavior existing within the port workers. The clash disrupts the status quo that has reigned at the port for years.

Past Life

Based on a true story, Past Life tracks the daring 1977 trans-European odyssey of two sisters–one an introverted ambitious classical music composer, and the other a combative politics and porn magazine editor–who are daughters of Holocaust survivors. As they try to unravel a disturbing wartime mystery that has cast a foreboding shadow on their entire lives, they realize that freedom from the shackles of the past requires painful sacrifices, as does the struggle to discover one’s unique voice.

And Then She Arrived

Dan Freilich (age 30), is a handsome but very easy-going nerd who is quite sure his future is organized for the next 50 years. The plan is that soon he will marry Tamar, his high school sweetheart.  That’s all you need, isn’t it? Apparently not.

Dan meets Meirav Levi (age 27), a waitress from Jerusalem, and discovers that feeling of butterflies fluttering in your stomach. From here on in, the plot thickens.  Dan and Tamar break up but not everything goes smoothly with Meirav. Then Dan decides not to give up and fights to win Meirav’s love.

Azimuth

The Sinai Desert, the day after the Israeli/Egyptian ceasefire, June, 1967. An Egyptian soldier, the only survivor of his destroyed convoy, manages to reach an abandoned UNEF outpost in the middle of the desert. Circumstances bring an Israeli sergeant on his overheated Jeep to the same outpost. Getting off his vehicle to seek shelter from the blazing sun, he is surprised by the Egyptian. During the ensuing firefight both men get trapped in the abandoned post; the Israeli on the ground floor, the Egyptian on the upper. Outside stands the Jeep, awaiting the victor.

The Testament

Yoel, a dedicated historian, is involved in an international debate revolving around a massacre of Jews in Austria during WWII. Yoel`s investigation reveals classified information that questions everything he knows about himself and his past. Yoel knows that further investigation will lead him on a road of no return, but as a historian he is fully committed to the truth.

In this game of deception, beliefs are questioned, choices are made, and their fate takes a surprising turn in this suspense-laden, elegant neo-noir. Also starring Lior Ashkenazi (Norman, Foxtrot).

Almost Famous
