A sharply observed and unbearably tense coming-of-age story, it opens with Nati, a young ice-cream seller, getting duped into an unbelievable act of cruelty by some of his yahoo friends. Later, when he meets and falls for a girl, he begins to realize not only that actions have consequences, but that there are more similarities between man and beast than he may have initially realized.
