Set in Israel of the 1960s, this is a biopic of poet Yona Wolach, a lone woman in a sea of men, a pioneer of feminism in a male dominated society, an advocate of bisexuality in a deeply conservative culture, a cultural icon for whom drugs, abortions, hospitalizations, and the death of her father were the demons that fueled her voice as a poet.
