Elephants in the Snow is a personal reflection on the lives of several immigrants from Russia who have been living in the Jewish settlement of Alon Shvut for the past twenty years. Through this gentle observation on Dora, Polina, Baruch, Roald, Galia, and the landscape of the village, one can identify the social isolation, nostalgia, the gap between man and his environment, together with a strong feeling of uncertainty, but also of compassion, and an anticipation that something is bound to happen.
