Colliding Dreams

Directed by: Joseph Dorman, Oren Rudavsky
135 Minutes, 2015, Documentary; Other Israel Film Festival

This is a story of Zionism, depicting what the idea and concept has meant for previous generations and what Zionism is to a new generation. This documentary is an incisive and dramatic exploration of the dream of a Jewish state unfolding across the broad canvas of one hundred and fifty years, from 19th century Europe, to the modern Middle East. Mixing unique footage with a wide array of interviews the filmmakers take a look at what Zionism means within and outside of the Jewish community.
