A young New York woman, devastated to find out that her husband has been cheating on her, decides to hop a plane to Paris to get away. However, she falls asleep on the plane, misses her connection, and winds up in Israel, with no money, no luggage and no friends.

Two brothers, both in their early 70s, hold a long life grudge against each other. They can be compared in so many ways, yet they cannot manage to keep a brotherly relationship, due to childhood traumas. Ehud, the eldest, can be called a ‘homeless millionaire’, whereas Zamir, the youngest, can be known as a ‘comfortably bitter man.’ They live on two separate sides of the world, one in Israel, and the other in America. One is divorced, the other is married. It’s known that blood is thicker than water; unfortunately not in this case.

This film is a documentary based on the large amount of footage filmed by prime minister Yitzhak Rabin during 1963-1973. It begins with steady shots of Paris – from beautiful landscapes to repeated images of homeless people sleeping on the streets – and eventually shows his filming of touristic London and Florence, various rural scenes in Asia and Africa, and a series of city scenes in Iran. A long section devoted to his time as ambassador to the United States – during which he filmed not only New York, Washington and San Francisco but also a football game, as well as American television – suggests both the growth of Israel’s relationship with its mega-ally and the large developmental difference between the two countries.

Kaveret is Israel’s all-time classic rock band and is often known to Americans as Poogy, named for the drummer, Meir Fenigstien. Meir is better known to Americans as the founder and director of the Israel Film Festival. Meir’s story explores how he went from drummer to film festival producer and how he achieves his artistic and personal dreams when he finds out he fathered a daughter who is now 18.
