GENERAL INFORMATION:

Will the festival be virtual or in-person?

The festival will take place as a hybrid – both virtually and in-person.

All films will screen in-person between June 1-8, 2023. Films available for streaming will be available June 1-12 in the NY Metro Area (NY, NJ, CT) or New York only. Please check individual film pages and confirmation emails for exact viewing window restrictions. In-person screenings and events will take place on specific dates/times at the Marlene Meyerson JCC. 

How much do tickets cost for virtual film screenings and in-person screenings?

Most virtual and in-person screenings are available for $18 general admission price. 

Silent will be the opening night film and will have a $25 in person admission price.
The Good Person will be the closing night film and will have a $21 in person admission price.

Will there be a festival pass available?

Yes.

I ordered a festival pass. Now what?

After purchasing your Full Virtual Festival Pass and/or Full In Person Festival Pass, your pass will be connected to your Eventive account. Click here to go to our virtual cinema and order films (be sure to be logged in to your Eventive account). 

To use your pass, select “Tickets” and then choose your payment method. To use your pass,  select “Unlock film” and use the payment method “Pre-order with “PASS NAME” ($0)”.

IN-PERSON FILM EVENTS

What health and safety procedures will be in place for in person screenings at the JCC?

What can I expect when I arrive at the MMJCCM for in-person screenings and events?

All attendees will enter the JCC through the entrance on Amsterdam Avenue.

Upon entering, you will go through a security check. Please bring a JCC ID (or other valid photo ID), your ticket (which can be displayed on your phone) and your proof of vaccination (in the form of a vaccination card, photo of vaccination card, or New York Excelsior Pass). There will also be a metal detector. When the security check is done, you can enter the lobby area.

Screenings will take place on level L2. You can use the elevators opposite the lobby to reach the auditorium on L2 level. There is also a stairway behind the elevators that can be accessed on the left or the right. Before you enter the auditorium, ticket takers will check your ticket and proof of vaccination.

There is an accessible bathroom available in the auditorium and upstairs in the lobby.

When can I watch the films?

Films will be available for streaming online through Eventive from June 1-12. These films will be geoblocked to the NY Metro Area (NY, NJ, CT) or New York onlym

Live or prerecorded Q+As will take place on Zoom the day after a film screening.

How will I receive access to the film after purchasing a ticket?

Films can be streamed through the Eventive platform throughout the entire week of the festival. Films are restricted to viewing within the NY Metro Area (NY, NJ, CT) or New York only and have a 72 hour viewing window after unlocking (starting) the film. This viewing window cannot be extended. Please check individual film pages and confirmation emails for exact viewing window restrictions.

There are a limited number of tickets available for each event.

Are the virtual screenings available to users located outside the US?

Streamed films will only be accessible to people located in the NY Metro Area (NY, NJ, CT) or New York only due to screening rights restrictions. Please check individual film pages and confirmation emails for exact viewing window restrictions.

I won’t be able to watch the film during the festival dates. Is there a way for me to still watch the film?

No, the films will be available only from June 1-12. Live Q+As, however, will be recorded and uploaded to our YouTube channel. Click here to visit our YouTube channel.

Will tickets be available for purchase throughout the week of the festival?

Yes. For most events, tickets will be available from May 8 until the final day of each film’s viewing window. There are a limited number of tickets available for each event. 

Can I share the screening link with others?

No. Links to films are only for the personal viewing of the individual who purchased a ticket. You may not forward or share the link with others.

How can I watch a film on my TV?

If you have an Apple TV, Chromecast (3rd gen or later), or a smart TV enabled with AirPlay or Chromecast, set your computer, mobile device or browser to “AirPlay” or “cast” to the TV device. Unlock the program on Eventive Virtual, then set your player window to full-screen using the icon at the lower right.

Chromecast will work on select Android devices, see instructions above. Chromecast on iOS devices are not compatible with the Eventive platform.

You can also directly connect a laptop or computer using an HDMI cable

Q+As:

What is the Q+A schedule? Will Q+As take place in-person or virtually?

Based on the event, Q+As will take place in-person after film screenings, or live or prerecorded on Zoom the day after a film screening. Click here to view the full Q+A schedule.

How do I use Zoom for live virtual Q+As?

To log-in to Q+A:

If you have purchased a ticket and/or pass, you will receive a reminder email 1 hour before each film’s start time with a Zoom link to the Q+A. Zoom links are also available on film/program pages on Eventive. Click the Q+A section on your Eventive screen and then select “Enter livestream” to get the Zoom link. You may open the links in advance, but they will only become active at the scheduled start times. 

Joining a live Zoom Q+A:

Click here to log into your Zoom account. We recommend downloading the Zoom app in advance onto your computer or smartphone. You can create an account to log-in, but it is not a requirement.

Conversations will become live on the scheduled Q+A start time.

At the scheduled start time, click on the access link sent in the email on the day of the event, enter your email and full name, and the conversation will automatically start once all panelists are ready. 

When joining a Q+A via Zoom  

  • You will be muted and will be visible to other attendees if you choose to turn on your video.
  • You can submit questions to panelists through the chat feature. The moderator will announce once it’s time for panelists to answer audience questions. 
  • If you are not able to type in your questions, you may use the “Raise your hand” button to be called on by the moderator to ask the question verbally. We cannot guarantee you will be called on.

Please engage respectfully. Any inappropriate or offensive conduct or comments during the Q+A may cause you to be removed from the Q+A session by our system administrator. 

Asking questions during Q+As

Once the moderator opens the conversation to audience questions, you may raise your hand (for in-person Q+As) or submit a question by typing it in the chat (for virtual Q+As).

If your question is addressed to a specific panelist, please mention who in the beginning of your question.

Please keep questions short and concise.
Please only ask (in-person) or submit (virtual) one question.

The moderator will choose which questions to direct to the panelists based on relevance and time restrictions. We do not guarantee all or questions will be answered, or the order in which they are answered.

HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO WATCH A MOVIE AFTER I RENT IT?

48 hours
You can access the movie you rented for 48 hours after you complete your order. During that time you can watch it as many times as you like and you can begin viewing it right away.

HOW CAN I ACCESS MY PURCHASED MOVIES?

Immediately online or later from your account
After completing your order, the film will immediately become available for you to watch on the site. Pay-per-view films will be available for 48 hours from purchase. 

CAN I DOWNLOAD THE MOVIE I RENTED?

No
You can only watch streaming versions of films on the site.

CAN I USE ISRAELFILMCENTERSTREAM.ORG FROM ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD?

Not at the moment, USA territories only
Anyone can browse our catalog and find out information about the films, however only users in the U.S.A. can complete an order and stream movies on this site.

ARE YOU GOING TO BE ADDING MORE FILMS TO THE CATALOG?

Yes!

IS MY CREDIT CARD AND PERSONAL INFORMATION SAFE AND SECURE?

Yes
Your personal information and credit card information is encrypted for security when you submit it to us. Furthermore, credit card information is not stored. We do not share any personal information.

CAN I STREAM FILMS TO MY COMMUNITY OR IN MY CLASSROOM?

No
Content on Israel Film Center Stream is intended for individual viewing only, in a home-viewing setting. Any other screening should be approved by the film’s distributor. Distributor information is listed for each film.

CAN I CANCEL MY PREMIUM SUBSCRIPTION?

Yes
You may cancel your subscription at any time by logging-in, and clicking on “Cancel Subscription” in your account information. Your premium access will immediately end, and you will no longer be charged for your monthly subscription.
