Sharon Angelhart is a Tel Aviv based film director and screenwriter whose short films have screened at festivals including the Cannes Film Festival, Sarajevo Film Festival, and Jerusalem Film Festival. Her debut feature, CUZ YOU’RE UGLY (2026), an Israeli-Canadian co-production, won the Best Acting Award at the Jerusalem Film Festival and received seven nominations at the Ophir Awards, winning Best Supporting Actress and Best Casting. The film also won Best Israeli Debut Feature at the Cinema South Festival.
She is currently developing her second feature, I HATE YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART, which participated in the 2025 AIR Berlin residency. For her, filmmaking is an asylum from the world.
