In 2003, in a controversial incident, 22-year-old American peace activist Rachel Corrie was killed while attempting to stop an Israeli military bulldozer from demolishing homes in Gaza. Rachel is a dispassionate but devastating essay investigating the circumstances of her death-including astounding eyewitness testimony from activists, soldiers, army spokespersons and physicians, as well as insights from Corrie’s parents, mentors and diaries. It quietly raises troubling questions while painting a complex portrait of a committed activist.

Sara writes a harsh blog about the bleak lives of Haredi (Ultra-Orthodox) women. Shulamit is an independent photographer who documents violent incidents on segregated busses on which women are required to seat at the back.  Both of them were banned by their communities because of their desire to live normal, unsuppressed lives. These young women operate entirely alone and pay a very high price for violating the number-one rule of Haredi society: “Never air a dirty laundry in public.”

As they expose the violence of Haredi fanatics, acting in the name of modesty, they are punished by persecution and vilification. What will happen to them when they can no longer bear being shunned by their own family and friends? Wich way will they choose? where will they go?

Black Bus, Soreret, tells the story of their singlehanded and courageous attempts to document and lead a change in the Haredi Society from which they have fled.

A ‘blue and white’ Troubadour, an anarchistic poet whose life was intertwined with the history of the state. Yebi despised materialism and focused on the love of fellow man and country, and all out war on injustice. In a thunderous voice he shook all those around him who wanted, or didn’t want, to listen to his cries. His booklets of poetry, he himself printed and sold on the street, and with the money he would invite his friends to drink. His life was also intertwined with the lives of central figures in Israeli culture, who, together, were partners in the creation of the Tel-Aviv culture, the Tel Aviv bohemian life. Even so, Yebi blurred all trace of his personal life, and even his closest friends didn’t know where he lived. The film attempts to throw light on one of the most colorful, fascinating and mysterious personalities that lived and worked in Tel Aviv.

Shlomo Lecker is an Israeli lawyer who defies all steriotypes. He is a Jew who gights for the Bedouins. In the Judean desert east of Jerusalem up to the Dead Sea, some 27,000 Bedouins live in roadside shacks. Since the 1970s, after Israel occupied the West Bank, Jewish settlements mushroomed up all along the desert and thereby limiting the Bedouins’ nomadic way of life. The steady expansion of Jewish settlements endangers the livelihood and the very existance of this community. This film follows Lecker’s personal relationship with his clients – the lone Israeli who claims that he has a Bedouin soul.

 The film uncovers the personality of Dr. Vicki Shiran, a feminist and Mizrahi-born leader who led all major social struggles in the past 3 decades until her untimely death 8 years ago. Occasionally a person’s biography can faithfully mirror the spirit of a social struggle. The life story of Shiran is also the story of the rise, and some say the fall, of the social struggle for equality that characterized Israel in the past and still goes on in a different manner to this day.
