114 Minutes, 2018, Comedy; Drama

An 80-year-old translator, Ali Ungár, comes across a book written by a former SS officer recounting his war experiences in Slovakia. Ali realizes that one of the chapters is describing the murder of his own parents at the hands of the SS officer. Armed with a pistol to take revenge, Ali travels to Vienna, only to find the soldier’s son. Oscillating between comedy and tragedy, Martin Šulík’s road movie focuses on two older men weighed down by their unresolved conflicts and the encounters that free them.
